What to Expect
This program provides support to families with children ages 0-6. The Aboriginal Infant development program (AIDP) provides bi-monthly assessments that examines the children personal-interactive, communication, social-emotional, and physical development. The services will be provided according to the Aboriginal Infant Development program, Practice Guidelines, 2016. We follow the guidelines provided by the Aboriginal Infant Development practice guidelines established in 2016.
Our program is trauma informed, Family-centered and is culturally and community based. based, is centre and community based. An Individual Family Plan is created with the family as we believe families know their children best and can implement the goals set with the children. create an Individual Family Services Plan for each family that considers and applies the distinct goals of each family. This program is apart of our wrap-around service provided at Metis Community Service BC.

How to access services?
Referrals can be made by a parent or guardian, family doctor, community workers and agencies, school staff, and correctional facilities.
