Orange Shirt Day

September 30 was chosen annually because it is the time of year in which children were taken from their homes and forced into residential schools. Commemorating this day is an opportunity to set the stage for anti-racism and anti-bullying policies and behaviors for the coming school year. It serves as an important reminder to be kind, be strong and be proud of Metis Culture and Heritage.
